Mentor Type ?

Peer: I'm new to this, so I'm hoping for someone is just one step ahead. I am not in crisis or asking deep-end spiritual stuff.

Growth: I'm looking for someone to help me gain momentum in my life—whether it's spiritual or just life skills, someone to motivate me to take new ground.

God Questions: I am looking to learn the spiritual stuff like prayer, Bible, hearing God, making choices from a spiritual standpoint, etc.

Crisis: I am in a hard season, so I am looking for someone who can sit with me in my pain and help me get to the other side.

I believe that the best way to help someone grow is to share the real-life lessons I’ve gathered along the way. For me, life is all about the people you love and the things that keep you inspired. My foundation starts at home with my wife, Cindy—we’ve been side-by-side for 20 years—and our three daughters. They are my "why," and they’ve taught me more about patience, heart, and commitment than any textbook ever could. As a mentor, I’m less about "corporate ladders" and more about building a life that feels complete. I’m a big believer in staying curious—whether that’s diving into a DIY project, geeked out over movie history, or hunting down a unique pop culture find. I’m here to be a friendly ear and a steady guide for someone who wants to balance their goals with a genuine love for family and personal passions. What I bring to the table: • A "Family First" Perspective: Having a 20-year marriage and three kids has taught me how to stay grounded and keep my priorities straight. • A Hands-On Heart: I love the "how-to" side of life. Whether it's fixing something around the house or figuring out a life challenge, I’m all about finding a way to make things work. • Enthusiasm for the Fun Stuff: I truly believe that our hobbies—like collecting or cinema—keep us young and creative. I’ll always encourage you to make time for what makes you happy. • Steady Support: I’ve learned that the most important thing you can offer someone is consistency. I’m here to be a reliable person in your corner.

I see mentorship as a process of building a friendship that encourages, challenges, and helps move each of us toward a goal. It may take the form of casual conversations, encouragement and accountability, in-depth Bible study, or even deep introspection and moving in a new direction. My approach is to meet with an interested person over coffee to get to know each other, discuss possible next steps, and to see if we are a good match. I’m an engineer by training and have played golf and soccer most of my life. I have one adult son and I’ve been married for 28 years. If you would like to discuss meetings together, then drop me a line. FreedUp financial stewardship coaching and mentorship.

My hope and prayer is to help support, coach, and encourage through transparency and real life Biblical principals. It’s also an honor to be a part someone’s journey and be able to learn from them as well.

I have been engaged in full time ministry for 25 years. God worked a miracle in healing my marriage and I have a 21yr old daughter that is a product of God's intervention into my marriage. My wife and I have now been married for 37yrs and also have a 35yr old son and two teenage step-grandchildren that are a blessing that came when our son met our wonderful daughter-in-law. My ministry strengths align most in the area of pastoral care during crisis. I am an encourager and understand the value of being able to quietly listen and be present while providing comfort and support. My hope for mentoring would be to use my life experience and testimony as a living example and encouragement to anyone as they grow in their faith and work through the challenges marriage, parenting, and surviving in the workplace can present.

I grew up in a small town, and for the past 43 years, I’ve been married to the same incredible woman—also from that same town. I’m a technologist by trade, a road trip enthusiast at heart, and I host a podcast as a creative outlet. I’m passionate about auto racing, especially open-wheel series, and I find deep joy in hearing people’s stories and encouraging them along the way. Looking back, I wish I’d had a mentor when I was younger. That’s part of what led me to join a group earlier this year that meets every Thursday at 6:30 AM. It’s been a truly meaningful experience. As part of our journey, I was asked to write a personal vision statement. Here’s what I came up with: I envision a world where every life I touch is uplifted, strengthened, and inspired. Through reliability, integrity, and trust, I will create meaningful connections that foster peace, growth, and innovation. Guided by perseverance, curiosity, and generosity, I will embrace challenges and new ideas with confidence, always striving to make a difference. With empathy, kindness, and humor, I will bring joy and understanding to every interaction—ensuring that my presence leaves the world better than I found it.

I’ve been following Jesus since my teenage years and I’m here to listen and encourage by sharing my personal experiences. I’ve been married for 27 years and have two adult children (25 & 22). We enjoy traveling, seeing music, and attending sporting events together. My wife is originally from Cincinnati, but I’m a transplant via job transfer. I’ve learned how to start over and build community where I live.

Hey there! Here is some basic info by about me… I have been married for 12 years and have 3 kids: 4, 7, and 9. I have attended crossroads for over 15 years and been involved in various ways along with attending a couple of man camps. I have been fortunate to have been mentored/discipled and from that opportunity I have experienced spiritual and emotional growth and wisdom. I still continue to live and learn and pursue (imperfectly) a relationship with God through my daily life. Through a mentor relationship I hope sharing my life experiences and wisdom is helpful, but most importantly hope to encourage a stronger relationship and closeness with God. I don’t see mentoring as always being a coffee shop activity (although happy to do that sometimes too) or talking face to face. I have a variety of interests: casual sports fan, hiking/camping, drinking beer/bourbon, baking bread, home repair, disc golf. Happy to make any of these activities or others a part of a remote or in-person mentor relationship.

I'm excited to connect with you. I firmly believe we grow stronger together—just as iron sharpens iron. I’m passionate about supporting others and see real power in having a trusted mentor or friend to celebrate the highs and process the lows together. I’ve found that strong men and women of God surround themselves with community. I’m looking forward to connecting and being part of that community with you.

I started going to Crossroads by accident. I wasn't a believer. I didn't want to be a believer. But the more I wrestled with questions about who Jesus was, the more I couldn't look away. That was 20 years ago. Now I strive to look a little more like Jesus each day, whether it's leading my family, being a believer in the workforce, or simply learning to choose Him when I don't feel like it. The right fit would be for someone looking to take their faith deeper in their lives. Even if it's simply just trying to figure out how to start.

Hi, I’m Gary, and I’m honored you're considering me as a potential mentor on your faith journey. I’m a husband of 24 years, a father of four, a veteran educator, and a health and wellness coach—but more importantly, I’m someone who’s been deeply transformed by God’s grace. My passion is helping people grow into the person God created them to be—body, mind, and spirit. I’ve walked through seasons of doubt, struggle, renewal, and healing, and I believe God uses every chapter of our story for His glory. As a teacher, I’ve spent over 20 years pouring into the lives of young people with authenticity, encouragement, and humor. Now, I feel called to do the same in a deeper way through mentoring—offering a safe space, a listening ear, and real conversations about faith, identity, and purpose. If you’re looking for someone who’s not perfect, but who shows up with empathy, accountability, and a genuine heart for God, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. My hope is that through this journey, you’ll grow closer to Jesus, gain clarity in your calling, and step more confidently into the life He’s inviting you to live.
